How they met

Alli and Dylan met in Fiji in September 2018. They were attending a Tony Robbins Life and Wealth event. They first interacted coming off a small prop plane with about eight seats. Dylan thought Alli was a gypsy, and she thought he was a “finance bro.” (Both first impressions were correct, but now those are aspects they love about each other.)

On the first day of the event, Alli was sitting next to someone who wouldn’t stop talking through the presentation, so Alli decided to move seats. There was only one seat left in the corner… next to Dylan.

They thought they’d never see each other again, but by the end of the event, they both knew they’d met someone special. The rest is history!

How he proposed

Dylan proposed on January 4, 2024 outside the Savannah Convention Center, looking at a view of the Savannah skyline. The sun was setting and the city lights were just flickering on. (Alli always tells Dylan her favorite sight is lights reflecting off water, which is why he picked that time of day.) 

He said he chose that spot so they could look across the river and see the big life decision they’d made to move to Savannah together – “one of the many big decisions we’ll make together over the course of our lives.”

Dylan got down on one knee and (nervously) said, “You’re my person now, and I want you to be my person forever.” Alli talked and laughed excitedly through his entire proposal. Dylan asked Alli to marry him, Alli said “yes,” and they (with Kava) celebrated with a delicious dinner at Cha Bella.

(Alli was so excited that she forgot Kava’s collar at the Convention Center.)
