LOGISTICS
-
The trolleys are leaving downtown promptly at 4:10pm on April 12. They wait for no man (or woman).
If you will be driving yourself or taking an Uber, plan to arrive to The Mackey House by 4:30pm at the latest. (We recommend you also leave at or before 4:10.)
-
We’ll have free trolleys take guests from historic downtown to the Mackey House on the wedding day, so you don’t have to worry about driving.
Uber is also available if you'd prefer.
-
The Mackey House has a parking lot, so you can drive if you’d like. However, there is no overnight parking. If you plan to drink (at our open bar…), we request you take an Uber or one of our provided trolleys.
-
Nope! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all occur on the grounds of the Mackey House. Please find more information about the venue here.
-
Both! The ceremony will be outside, and the other events will be held in enclosed outdoor areas. You can also cool off or take a break on the first floor of the house. Please do not go upstairs as it is a private property.
-
Who do you think we are, meteorologists? ;) April usually brings warm weather, blooming flowers, and an average high of 78 degrees. Although it's one of the least rainy months, precipitation is always a possibility in the coastal south. But don’t worry, rain won’t change the venue or timeline.
-
Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible! If you have any ambulatory or accessibility concerns, please reach out to the bride and groom. We’re happy to accomodate you!
-
Kava, our golden retriever, will be in attendance for the duration of the wedding.
That said, if you are allergic to or scared of dogs, you can rest easy. The majority of the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors in a large, open space so you do not have to interact with her should you not want to.
However, if you have severe allergies, please make a decision that is right for you.
RSVPing
-
Please RSVP directly on the invitation you received via email or text.
(Please also RSVP to the welcome party invitation.)
-
Please RSVP by February 3.
-
Everyone invited is listed by name on the invitation you received.
If you have any questions about who in your group is invited, please contact the bride and groom directly.
-
We are keeping the wedding small and intimate with those we hold dearest to us, so please do not show up with an uninvited plus one.
All invited guests are listed on the invitation. When you RSVP, please respond with all names of those attending.
-
While we love your kiddos, unfortunately we can’t have them at the wedding. Due to the nature of our event and liability insurance, we are only allowed to host children of immediate family members.
All invited guests are listed on your digital invite envelope.
-
As much as we love our furry friends, Kava is shy around other animals, so please leave your pets at home (but give them a belly rub from us!).
-
Life happens, and we get it! Please don’t come if you or a relative is sick or something else emergent comes up.
Shoot Alli a text at 908-307-5628 to let her know as soon as your plans have changed. We will love you regardless!
-
Unfortunately, if you’ve already said no, we likely can’t add any more guests unless there are cancellations. We are beholden to our caterer!
But feel free to reach out to Alli directly at 908-307-5628 to double check.
-
We have mindfully curated our list of invitees to keep the wedding intimate. Any uninvited individuals or plus-ones will be asked to leave (aka “kicked out”) by security.
FUN STUFF
-
Open bar. All drunken shenanigans WILL be aggressively photographed and mocked for years to come. Proceed with caution.
-
We will have a variety of tasty food options available for you to choose from on the day. We feel pretty confident you’ll find something you like! We are not doing a traditional plated option, so please don’t text us “beef” at 2am.
-
We know many of our guests have food restrictions (including the bride!), so we’ve already made arrangements for some delicious gluten-free, vegetarian, and lactose-free options.
If you have any diet restrictions (including gluten, vegetarian, lactose), please let us know on your RSVP form so we can properly accommodate you.
-
Not into dancing? Don’t worry. We’ll have other fun ways to keep you busy, and there will be space away from the music where you can sit, chat, and relax.
That said, you know what your body can handle. If you think you may want to leave early, we recommend calling an Uber to pick you up.
Trolleys will depart Mackey at 10pm and drop off in the Historic District.
-
Yes! As long as you tag us so we can see too! (We get FOMO.)
Alli’s handle is @allimariehess and Dylan’s is @dylan.kennelly.
But please no phones during the ceremony.
-
Dress code is creative formal. Check out our “what to wear” page here for inspiration.

The whole wedding is a party! If you’re invited, you’re in it :)
TRAVEL
-
Spring is Savannah’s tourist season, so we recommend booking as soon as you feel confident you’ll be able to attend. Please check the travel page for more information.
-
There will be a welcome party the evening before on April 11. This will be a casual, flexible party with light snacks. Show up and leave whenever it works with your travel plans!
-
100% yes! If your schedule and lifestyle permits, we recommend staying in Savannah before or after the wedding. Savannah is a beautiful, historic town with lots to see, do, and experience. We’ll be posting Savannah blogs to help you plan your travel.

Have more questions ?
We will text you information as the day gets closer, such as trolley pickups and locations.
But if you have burning questions, text Alli at 908-307-5628. After April 10, Alli’s phone will be on do-not-disturb.
You can also text Dylan, and he will answer in 3-5 business years.
