HISTORIC INNS
historic
& haunted
There are six official “Historic Inns of Savannah,” but there are dozens of other beautiful boutique hotels operating out of restored 18th and 19th century homes and mansions. We’ve listed some of the most popular inns and B&Bs here, but a quick Google search will bring up tons more.
the kehoe house
In the heart of Savannah's historic district lies the highly-rated Kehoe House, an exquisite boutique hotel that blends old-world charm with contemporary luxury. Housed within a 19th-century mansion, this architectural gem offers an enchanting glimpse into Savannah's past while providing all the modern comforts expected of a top-tier accommodation. They offer daily cooked-to-order breakfast, a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception, and homemade cookies each evening. It was rated TripAdvisor’s “Best of the Best 2024.”
fun fact — On their first visit to Savannah, Alli and Dylan saw a micro wedding take place here and they thought, “Savannah would be the perfect place for a wedding!”
the marshall house
The Marshall House has been a part of the fabric of Savannah since 1851. Its rich history — and ghost hauntings — make it one of the most iconic and visited buildings in Savannah. Located on Broughton Street, you’ll be right in the hub of shopping and restaurants. Despite being named one of the Best Haunted Hotels in America every year since 2011, its luxury and history (almost) outweigh its haunted reputation.
the gastonian
Nestled on Gaston Street near Forsyth Park, The Gastonian has been a beacon of Southern hospitality and refined elegance since 1868. This historic bed and breakfast exudes timeless grace, offering guests a tranquil retreat amidst the city's vibrant energy. With its meticulously restored 19th-century architecture, luxurious accommodations, and impeccable service, The Gastonian promises an unforgettable experience.
fun fact: Alli and Dylan visited this hotel and fell in love with its back gardens, quaint amenities (like an old radio playing jazz music), and kind staff.
hamilton turner inn
A grand Victorian mansion on the southeast corner of Lafayette Square, the Hamilton-Turner Inn dates to 1873. Its aesthetic, known as "Second Empire," is marked by tall windows and intricate ironwork balconies. There’s a grand, Italianate vibe as you climb to the front door. Voted the Most Romantic Hotel in America by USA Today, this hotel is truly one of the most luxurious, historic experiences you’ll find in the city.

bardo hotel
Recently reopened and reimagined, the Bardo Hotel is one of the most iconic and high-end hotels in Savannah. Sitting inside the 1888 Forsyth Mansion, it has history and chic modern amenities. Enjoy the upgraded pool, top-tier service, and proximity to Forsyth Park. (Fun fact: this is where Jamie Lee Curtis stayed while filming Halloween.)
